In partnership with R&F Properties, Yuanda Europe has started the design and build process for the trio of iconic towers making the initial part of the Nine Elms Square project in Vauxhall, London.
The project began in 2017 when initial construction began on the 10.3 acre (4.2 hectare) site. The overall construction consists of 12 (mixed-use) buildings including the three primary towers which extend upwards over 54 storeys.
When complete the towers will provide exception views over London, from the Thames and London Eye to the new American Embassy.
Yuanda is completing preparations to start on site after completion of the design and facade testing phases. We expect the first cladding panels to arrive on-site before the end of 2019. The total package for the three iconic towers consists of over 63,000m2 of cladding.
Due to the developments at Nine Elms Square (and surrounding buildings), there have been a number of civic investments committed to improve the site. The Northern Line is to be extended providing convenient transport to the Vauxhall site. A new Linear Park will provide an essential link between Nine Elms Square and Battersea Powerstation (a short stroll away). There are also proposals for a new pedestrian bridge over the Thames with a spiral onramp and offramp at each end, providing better access to the site.
See the current progress on-site below. It was taken from the top of The Tower, One St Georges Wharf. The further images below that illustrate the view that will also be visible from the penthouse apartments at Nine Elms Square. A truly remarkable view of the world’s greatest city, London.
We look forward to getting the first elements on-site and playing our part in completing this iconic development.
