🔵 We’re Hiring — Switzerland Design Team Leader
📍 Location: Basel, Switzerland ( Other locations may be considered )
✈️ Travel: Occasional travel to the UK (approx. 5%)
Yuanda Europe is seeking an experienced and motivated Switzerland Design Team Leader to join our team in Basel. This role involves leading façade design activities, coordinating international design teams, and delivering high-quality building envelope solutions.
🔹 Main Objectives
Deliver design packages on time and within budget
Optimize and adapt designs for production and installation
Develop detailed interface solutions in line with project and industry standards
Design bespoke curtain wall systems
Support knowledge transfer between Yuanda Europe and CNYD
Coordinate with client teams and China-based design teams
🔹 Key Responsibilities
System Design & Management
Coordinate the complete building envelope design
Lead and manage the design team
Report to the Design Director
Maintain and control design budgets
Review and validate design proposals
Implement and continuously improve design solutions
Develop new systems and interface details
Take full responsibility for project design delivery
Report daily design changes and progress to the project team
Participate in design and coordination meetings
Conduct site visits when required
Attend performance tests or VMUs in China when necessary
Weekly planning and scheduling of design team activities
Prepare drawing scopes for the entire project lifecycle
Produce all technical drawings, including:
System design
System catalogues
Sections
Floor plans
Elevations
Builders’ work drawings
3D Modelling & Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of 3D modelling
Ability to produce clear 3D sketches
Proficiency in CAD software
Relevant technical education (Technician or Engineer)
🔹 Language Requirements
Fluency in English and German preferred
French is an advantage
🔹 Desired Qualifications
Strong experience in leading and managing design teams
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in complex façade construction
Excellent command of MS Office and AutoCAD
