The Art’otel project consists of a new-build 20-storey tower in Shoreditch, on the junction of Old Street and Great Eastern Street.

The development comprises a cylindrical tower block covering 27,000m2 GEA, delivering primarily office and hotel accommodation. Nine levels will be dedicated to a 169-key hotel and ten levels will be commercial office provision.

Level 1 will be a dedicated gallery and exhibition space, with the ground floor consisting of hotel/office entrance zones, and retail areas. The 2-storey basement will house a spa and health centre as well as back of house and plant areas.

Meinhardt UK is providing structural, civil and building services engineering, including developing an energy strategy to establish the most suitable low carbon and energy efficient methods for the scheme.

SCOPE

Includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery and installation of the External Walling & Cladding Works from ground level and above.
External façade systems include:

High energy performance double glazed aluminium curtain walling with PPC aluminium spandrel
High energy performance double glazed aluminium curtain walling with shadow box spandrel
