Summary

The Claraturm project by the Basel-based architecture firm Morger Partner focuses on demographic changes and urban development around the exhibition center. The project is based on the movement of the block perimeter development and tapers upwards to the planned multi-purpose room for the population. At the end of Clarastrasse, as a counterpart to the dominant trade fair construction, the congress center Swissôtel Le Plaza and the Messeturm, the Claraturm completes the modern ensemble of the quarter, which can be seen as a business card from Basel. The tower will reach a total height of 96 m.

Scope

  • Planning, manufacturing, delivery and assembly of approximately 14,500 m² of facade in total.
  • Consist of an Annex building with approximately 3,800 m² of façade, and
  • A tower building with approximately 10,700 m² of façade,
  • including 1,150 m2 for the ground floor.
  • Curtain wall facade with prefabricated elements with high performance triple glazing.
  • Anodized coating of profiles and sheets.
  • Motorized blinds.
  • Stick curtain wall facade on the ground floor with doors and sunshades.
